After a leisurely morning, D, Mr A and I had a fascinating tour around the neighbourhoods of Neukölln and Kreuzberg. I've spent time in this part of Berlin before, but it was good to do it again with someone who knows quite a few curious corners. Coffee in the Neun Markthalle and lunch at the Freischwimmer (which Mr A thinks we've been to before) along the Spree were also highlights. With a few stops along the way, we managed quite a few kilometres before coming back here on the S Bahn. In the evening, we had a quite outstanding meal at ETA Hoffmann on Yorckstrasse. Highly recommended for those who like fine dining. A beer on the balcony completed an excellent birthday. Despite food and drink aplenty, I still managed to sleep quite well.
