Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

By NannaK

Leviathan Helm

I was intrigued when blipper friend Mike blipped this piece a few days ago in the top of the wonderful old water tower building  in Volunteer Park so today we walked up to see it for ourselves on a very lovely day.   Not sure about the whole installation that included huge blown glass eyes, , a ship’s wheel (to turn the eyes) and fancy sails….. the red billowing curtain and the gurgling noises on the way up the 106 steps were the best.  You can read about it here… the artist is there for the 5 days of the installation to talk about it... it took her a year to get permission to show it here - the last art installation in this space was maybe 20 years ago.

Also enjoyed the Indigo fabric show at the Seattle Art Museum nearby.

And the sunshine continued for NIk”s soccer game.   I’m recording that he’s shot up taller than his Mom in the extra.
