The Wagon Art Studio (Autumn)

15.2C and mostly sunny and bright. Light WNW/Westerly breeze.

Apothecary7's day off. My car went in for a service and its MOT to a local garage.

We drove North to Lochgilphead and collected Apothecary7's painting which we had put in for framing on the 27th of August. An abstract of the pier at Ardmair and the view across to Ben Mor Coigach.

Then we decided to go to Kilmartin for lunch at the Museum's cafe. On the way we had a call from the garage to say my car had passed its MOT but had needed a temporary repair. I agreed a new part to be ordered and arranged to pick up the car later in the afternoon.

The we drove to Bellanoch on the Crinan canal and went for a walk with Maeve the Deerhound. From Bellanoch bridge along the canal towpath to Crinan Bridge (opposite Crinan ferry and half a mile from the Basin at Crinan). we thought that was a good place to turn so we would have time to get back home in time to pick up my car.

As we passed Fraser MacIver's wagon (where he paints and makes prints) I stopped to take a photo with the trees beginning to change colour and the foliage beginning to thin out compared to earlier in the year. Of course nowhere near as stark as we saw it in winter.

We were back in Campbeltown by late afternoon.
I picked up the car and booked it in to have the proper repair done on Wednesday.

Later the painting was hung in the living room, with the previous occupant of the spot re hung to the left.
