Christchurch Market

Much of our weekend has been discussing food - one of the issues is persuading J's Mum to eat. Nowhere near as easy as it sounds.

She now has carers coming around at lunchtimes to sort her out a meal. She is very resistant, but at 6 stone now she does need to eat. The young women carers  we have met - a truly international crew - are very good (the care system will fall apart if we exclude young people from abroad from working in this country). Today she had cumberland pie (not keen), some fresh fruit (OK) and a chocolate eclair (OK) - a feast compared to what she has been eating. Hopefully this will continue.

On my travels today I passed the market in the main street at Christchurch. It is always there on Mondays. Just one stall sells vegetables and fruit - the seasonal fare of the day.
