Eurasian Kingfisher

We spent the day at the Teich Ornithological Park (marked approximately on the map) across the Bassin d'Arcachon from where we are staying. It is a large nature reserve with many connected bodies of water. This was our target bird, which we finally saw toward the end of the afternoon. It's my best image of the kingfisher--the only previous decent one was in the Dordogne in 2013--not too far east of here.

Next day:  I've added two extras from our outing: a Great Egret in flight with its reflection (and a black bill which it can have when breeding), and a flyover of three Spoonbills.
