Meh

Multiple things added up to a bit of a 'meh' day today. The sale of A's house is taking forever, agreed dates are now well in the past and we've only just got past the stage of solicitors asking how much electricity the thermal water solar panels generate.

It was the afternoon of the Awards for Excellence by Visit Worcestershire, at Eastnor Castle. We got 3rd place for the self catering; which is fair, but the B&B came second to another that for the life of me I cannot see why. 

I've no problem with coming second per se - we did that last year and it was clear that the winner then was a worthy one. This year, a number of the judges choices just didn't stack up.  We really ought to be pretty happy as the only 'Highly Commended for Guest Accommodation in Worcestershire' but somehow it's lost it's shine rather.

Sharpened the chainsaw as something useful to do today.

Thought we'd go for an evening walk in compensation.  The supposed better weather didn't materialise but we went for a walk and pub meal anyway.
