Gingerbread house

Today I thought I'd share this little Itchen Valley gingerbread house with you.  From here it looks like it's been plonked down in the middle of woods and farmland, but there is a little lane in front of it.  My guess is that it's pretty old and used to be thatched and I don't think it's any co-incidence it sits on a footpath between Winchester and Easton, which is probably very old too.

Anyway, I had a lovely walk under a big bustling sky, with flashes of sunshine and rain and this afternoon I visited my old gent who was rather in need of cheering.  Which has slightly wiped out this evening.  Sleeping in front of the TV I think will do it..
