Autumn begins today

Today is the day of the Autumnal Equinox and thus the beginning of Autumn as far as I am concerned. It has been so for the 81 years of my life and although I believe I am open to change I am not prepared to give in to September 1st. for the statistical convenience of the met office.

However to start off what is often a lovely time of the year here is a very Autumnal scene. A misty morning shot of the lower slopes of Arnside Knott.

The weather here for the past week has been magic.
