Abstract Thursday - Native American Art

Early on I acknowledged that capturing abstract art in museums or elsewhere would always work here. I could not have found a more appropriate source for this week's theme.

The "Fall" of the culture and presence of the Native American tribes at the hand of the white man can never be overstated. I am sure every continent has a somber history in the persecution of early cultures. As we ended our week vacation in central Oregon and heading home we all saw the sign for an unplanned stop. The Museum at Warm Springs called us loudly and it was an emotional stop. Layne and her mom share Native American ancestry and some of the video presentations and stories evoked deep feelings.

This modern tall artwork represents a fraction of the incredible culture at this museum. One of the finest museums, we agreed, we have seen.

My Abstract Thursday late day post is AT65. The theme is "Fall"

The next Abstract Thursday theme is:
"Big & Small, Scales of Perception, Optical Illusions",
a long title with lots of wiggle room to interpret any way you want.
These September 29 posts should be tagged AT66.
