The Goulburn in Flood

We have had so much rain recently that the Goulburn has flooded and inundated "The Flats" either side of its banks. Neither our city nor our towns have been threatened this time, unlike many areas of Victoria, so it is just interesting to see the river level so high. We have no waterfalls or rocky cascades to emphasise the force of our floods as the land for miles is very flat. So our river, even in flood, is a picture of serenity, with its gums emerging from the deep water and reaching towards a beautiful blue sky.
