MV Isle of Arran at Campbeltown

16.4C with rain on and off all day. Some brighter spells in the afternoon. Southerly wind to 33 mph with gusts to 52 mph (gusts mid 40s in the afternoon).

Maeve the Deerhound and I have been lucky and stayed mostly dry on our walks so far today.

I watched for a drier spell after lunch and about 2.30pm we went for a wander along to the harbour, out on the old quay, then along to the end of the park and back. The ferry MV Isle of Arran did make the crossing early yesterday and is still at the new quay today. The CalMac website shows it is running to a "normal service" so I expect it will sail for Adrossan tomorrow afternoon and that will be it gone for this year.

Afternoon music ... Cher, Heart Of Stone. ZZ Top, Eliminator.
