Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

Kids' Sports

Spent the day either in horrendous traffic all over the city or watching girls 12 yo soccer and boys 11 yo football.   Hoping to get just one great shot.   Well, I’m still hoping,….:-)    But since I had no other photos and this day was about sports, I tried to find a photo that at least had the proper ball in it. (not easy)   Oskar is #34, played almost the whole game, and saw  #22 just run with that ball most of the time.  Tatum seems to get the kicking duties.  Both teams lost today.  From a grandparents perspective (once removed from parents) we are interested to see what sort of lessons can be learned from these team sports.  Are they learning about each others strengths and weaknesses and using them?  Is it all about winning, no matter what?   They are getting some exercise for sure.   Are they having fun?  Respecting their teammates? their coaches?  Are the coaches setting a good example?  It’s all pretty interesting with the different personalities of the kids… (Fiona says she will NOT do any sport!)

I could go on, but I’m out of time… getting ready to go to the island in the morning…
