5200 years in one day

Paula and Gordon led us on a wonderful tour in Cumbria and Northumberland and Lake District today..... Hadrian's wall and Roman fort at Housesteads, ( 6th C and before ). Lanercost Priory ( 13th c) , another Andy Goldsworthy Pinfold ( 21st C) and the most amazing and other worldly setting for this Castlerigg stone circle fron Neolithic times perhaps 3200 years BC! A gorgeous warm day , we came across this at the end and managed a shot with no people.... the extra is a panorama looking the other way. What could they possibly have done here in this magical spot ? A link to the solstice? a meeting place? Another extra..with Paula.. we did not go thru the stones to another era.:-).
