We have a new resident...

...well hopefully.  This little chap seems to like the high branch of the silver birch tree that overhangs our garden and sits up there regularly to sing his lovely fluting song.  We are hoping he is making it his territory, we would love it if he stays with us for the winter and then breeds. We have put some tempting meal worms out although, at the moment, he seems to be favouring the sunflower hearts on the hanging feeders.
