A Date To Remember .

Today is the birthdate of Dmitri Shostakovich..( 25:09:1906.)
To my ears his music is pretty wonderful . Most of you know the tune 'Tea For Two'  (Tahiti Trot) from the musical No No Nanette .The writers had a bet with Shostakovich that he couldn't orchestrate the music in an hour .He did it it in 45 minutes.
The collage symbolizes Tea for Two and the link is to part of his Jazz Suite ( the waltz ) Another target I've set myself .Tea dances are in and I'll be there :) This joyful dreamy piece can still be danced with  my arms ....
