Aberdeenshire - Day 3

Another wonderful, eventful day of touring very picturesque countryside here and also a visit to wonderful Castle Fraser.

We started at the Walled Garden and saw some very unusual flowers/plants that we couldn't even identify. Extras show some of them. The cosmos were the only easily identifiable ones.

Then a pit stop at the Cafe for tea and scones, and oh boy, they were good.

The Castle was warm and homely and we spent hours going through about 20 rooms appreciating the history of this stately home that has been extremely well preserved. My interest was heightened after having watched 'Outlander' recently which featured the Fraser Clan!

The tour guides were informative and knowledgeable about the history of the Fraser family and had a few snippets to share with us.

We really did enjoy our time there and the drive back was as pleasant as it was getting there through OldMeldrum.

It did rained slightly most of the time we were out but we still had a super day out together.

Once again, I am completely overwhelmed by the generosity, kindness and love of my wonderful hosts. Deep relationships are being made.
