Starting the Rut

Deer 'Walk' at Woburn this morning. Today is the first time this season there's been any action according to the rangers, so we were fortunate to hear and see a lot of the males making their presence felt.  Rarely did they stand in the right places though and the light (excellent at times) was not on their faces. This one was by the lake and made a lot of noise!  The shape works well adapted to a silhouette; I'll add in one extra showing the mist and sunrise, plus my favourite.

It was a very early start to the day and surprisingly cold but well worth the effort - especially for the coffee and bacon butty at the end!
