October Contrasts

October rolled in with a downpour,
making puddles as deep as a lake.
Summer is over and autumn's arrived,
make no mistake!

Our daughter prepared a warm welcome;
fireplace flames flickered high.
With "Strictly", Week 2, on the telly,
outdoors: goodbye.
