Palm Trees in Scotland

The day started off misty in our town, and over the whole of the Clyde Valley.  But we thought it looked like it would be a lovely day when the mist had burned off, and we were right.

We drove to Wemyss Bay and took the ferry to Rothesay on the Isle of Bute (I do love a ferry trip!).  We then took a bus along to Port Bannatyne, where I took my blips,  and walked back to Rothesay on the West Island Way, a lovely track  up above the coast.  As you can see from my pictures, the weather was just stunning, who could believe it was Scotland.

Lots of people out walking, lots cycling too, some cycling right round the island......it was a good day to be out and about......

Back in Rothesay, we had a snack in a café near the ferry terminal.

The café is the one owned by the Zavaroni family, perhaps some of you would remember the singer Lena Zavaroni, who was discovered on a TV talent show, can't remember which one, and had a high life for a few years, but it all ended tragically with her death at a young age.

Anyhow, we had a great day out, and came home to an M&S meal, so nice that I only had to heat it in the oven!!!!

Hope you all had such lovely weather and a good day today.
