Fallen giants

Here are two fallen giants seen on our walk today in the Belair Park. We saw at least another dozen fallen big trees. It is so sad to find so much damage after our recent storms. 

The park is about 850 hectares, but imagine how many other trees must have fallen in the total area of the park. Other than tress across walking tracks, all trees will be left where they fell. I have mixed feelings about this policy as some form of compromise should be instituted. What are your thoughts?
