Ah. A sure sign that it's well past bed time and the camera hasn't been out all day. I could do with a snood...

A rather lovely bunch of flowers from our nanny to +1/2.

It suddenly occurred to +1/2 and me a few days ago that +1/2 is covered by our health insurance. A quick call on Monday describing the issue led to them arranging for +1/2 to speak to a consultant on Tuesday who then arranged for +1/2 to go to a physio today. The physio took one look feel and decided that the issue wasn't Piriformis after all but rather a series of bulging and possibly herniated discs in her lower back. Some acupuncture to help with the pain (apparently this really worked well for +1/2) and a referral for an MRI tomorrow. That's fast. It also leads to the question of why two GP visits and a previous physio didn't consider this an option.

As if that wasn't enough fun for one day, I got to leave work early to attend the younger two's teacher's evening. Fortunately the teachers both had very little to say which is always a good sign: they get on well, school work is not problem and they seem to be enjoying themselves. Yay!
