First League Game

What a start to Division One for the Sons ! Wonderful waeather, basking in the warmth of the sun , looking forward to basking in the warmth of a Sons victory but it wasn't to be. We made too many defensive mistakes and Airdrie took their chances , scoring 4 goals to our one goal. I know fans always complain about referees but this one has to be the worst we have ever seen , at one point John remarked that it was more like a rugby game with some of the tackles against our boys and the referee seemed to ignore all of the Airdrie fouls.

Still it was up to our team , who did play some lovel
y football , to keep the back tight so we have only ourselves to blame.
Tonight's blip shows the Airdrie keeper reaching up to save yet another of our on - target balls.

Ah , well there's always next week.

Got home late and just had to watch the diving before downloading the images from the camera and uploading here.Wasn't the diving awesome! Well done Tom Daly , what a wonderful attitude and to see such delight in winning Olympic Bronze was a real treat.
