The newest part of the Lake District

Home and a lovely lazy morning with the rest of Team IttH.
Knowing the rowan berries would be shining and the bracken turning russet it wasn't a difficult choice to wander into Little Borrowdale. A different view of here was the recent cover of the Friends of the Lake District magazine - but this tree, which I've blipped before, has always caught my eye.
Despite the extension to the national park we seldom see folk here - but today a multitude (three) of off-road vehicles passed us -  apparently there to tidy up after a folk festival - but once they'd passed the valley returned to its peaceful self and we mooched on enjoying what turned out to be the best part of a squally day.
