I usually have a cut-off point for walks and won't drive for more than an hour to get to the start point, but todays walk sounded so good on the internet that I had to do it, which involved driving to near Macclesfield. This is from the write-up on the Cheshire Walkers' website:-
"A walk entirely in Cheshire that feels like a lake district walk. 14 miles 800m of ascent and covering just about every hill between Bollington and Teggs Nose! It doesn't matter what your tastes are in a walk. This has it all. Hills, a monument, a canal, a quarry, farmland, access land and lots of wildlife."
How could I resist? The weather was perfect and the countryside stunning!
