Healeys

Waiting with engines throbbing in the queue these gorgeous Austin Healeys were at Prescott Speed Hill Climb this afternoon.

This was the Healeysport Speed Championship, each car waiting it's turn to be called to the starting gate to race uphill on the course against the clock.

The red number 79 is an Austin Healey 3000 built in 1962 and driven by Grant Marshall from Warwick, whilst the fabulous cream 78 is an Austin Healey 100/4 built in 1956 and driven by John Ducker from Doncaster.
I just love how vibrant, polished and shiny they looked in the sunshine - obviously cars with a lot of time, effort and money lavished on them!!

I have now nearly 900 shots to go through at some point but it really was so very exciting!
