Black-winged Stilt(Himantopus himantopus)

A juvenile Black-winged Stilt. A day off today and so lots of bird watchers are out and about, enjoying the wealth of birds around in beautiful Oman. This juvenile Stilt is lit by the early morning light and was a lovely sight at the Wadi, surprisingly on its own, which is unusual as they are usually in family groups. I did see an Adult male Stilt at another location with very bright pink legs and looking in very good condition and in full breeding plumage.
