Streaked Weaver

A new bird, this Streaked Weaver had to be positively identified by a bird expert. I saw the bright yellow capped bird amongst the reeds and then saw its very clever woven nest, I wish I had seen it building it, because it is a work of art and it makes me wonder how it made it without help! Anyway I shall be watching it from a good distance, but this lovely bird is very welcome to set up home in Oman and it is fantastic to see a new bird and I shall be doing my research on it. This is a male Streaked Weaver, but the female is even more colourful with more yellow and a striped head, instead of just a bright cap.
