Menorca Day 7: Storms at Son Ganxo

More moody in large.
Back blip

'twas my birthday, and we went over to the restaurant by the sea at Son Ganxo: there's a little rocky bay just beyond the terrace, so it is nice for fresh fish, and swimming with the fresher fishes.

It had been a stormy day with sunny spells, and the weather was very changeable: it was sunny when we arrived, we were driven indoors from the terrace by torrential rain, and then swam in the sea (with loads of friendly fish!) when the sun reappeared. I liked the various wind-borne passers by (gulls and sailors)

We were aiming for the trotting races at San Lluis, but went via the Poblat Talaiotic de Binissafullet where there was a taula, a talaiot, and some painters.

The weather cleared up for the evening, so we had a great time at the trotting (see extra for sunset sipping). I played around with panning shots (both slow shutter speeds and fast ones; intermediate ones also worked well). This is trotting; this is not trotting; and this is mini-trot... The action went on well after sunset.
