American Lady Butterfly Caterpillar

I walked down to get the mail this afternoon and on the way back noticed this. A moderate amount of googling resulted in my finding a match. It's the caterpillar of the American Lady Butterfly (otherwise known as American Painted Lady). I am continually astounded at the things that catch my eye more and more that I swear I would likely never have noticed before I started looking with a camera. This one was down at ankle level on the side of the driveway, and I was looking through the mail when it caught my eye. Of course, I'm sure there are still millions of things I'm not seeing!
