Oliver Winery, Bloomington, IN

We left Peoria, IL, and drove southeast to Bloomington, IN. My niece suggested we stop at Oliver Winery on our way to visit her and her family in Fishers, IN, so we did. After tasting around 11 different wines and finding them all to be excellent, we were glad we drove the extra two hours off our route. According to their web page, Oliver Winery began as a basement hobby in the 1960s. It is now one of the largest wineries in the eastern U. S. They currently distribute their award-winning wine to 18 states but unfortunately, Maryland is not one of them. This photo, taken on the winery grounds, shows just a small section of the lovely gardens and peaceful surroundings. We ended our day with a delicious home cooked meal and relaxing evening with our niece and her family.
