Friendly donkey

Another step on the long torturous road to resolving the renovation of Doreen's lounge, hall and kitchen after the burst pipe in July. A rep from the buildings company came around today and made a full report which will, hopefully, bring everything together. We await his report with anticipation.

It was another beautiful day, warm, sunny and a delight to be out walking and taking photographs on one of our summer routes across a golf course and past some rather lovely houses including the one behind the donkey which is one of Susan's favourites.

We called in at the allotment on the way home to collect a few spuds and a cabbage but were delighted to find the late planted dwarf beans had lots of beans and the courgettes were still producing. Picked a few apples and pears too.

This made us late getting back for dinner which led to a hurried meal before a rugby committee meeting which was interminable.
