Girls in blue.....

The collage tells the story, two girls in blue taking in the view looking towards Christchurch, wonderful to be able to see the Port Hills and Banks Peninsula in the distance. A calm sea, no wind, people swimming while others were strolling, the girls decided to sit and chat.

Further along at the Waimkariri River mouth the nets were out and whitebait were being caught. I hear in these parts it's not a good season however there were whitebait fritters on today's menu which delighted mum, our birthday girl. 

A beautiful bouquet of flowers arrived this morning and more cards in the post, many texts were coming through on mum's phone as it is her actual birthday today.

Happy Birthday mum, 80 years today!! Lovely for you to have your sister by your side, it's certainly a week of celebration and many special times, we love you dearly :) xx

And blip.....well there's a few gaps which will be filled once life settles down but for now it's family time.
