Still more hydrangeas

Hydrangea season seems to be about over in gardens, but I was surprised to find these thriving plants in the supermarket.  They are grown in pots, which must account for their freshness, and they are very large and full.  Perhaps they can maintain their bloom indefinitely indoors.  Working with this image really made me aware of the riot of color there is in the market, not just flowers but fruits and vegetables of all kinds, all brightly lit.  It's lovely to see them now that are skies are turning gray and we've had our first rain of the season.  It's supposed to pour all weekend.  Hope you have sunnier skies.
