Friday night fish and chips

Our friend Katharina (AKA the Russian Party Princess) is paying us a visit this weekend. She put in a special request for supper this evening: Mr hazelh's signature dish of lobster thermidor. I approved :-) By the way, the roast potatoes are home-grown.

I picked up my new glasses on the way to work this morning. Wow, what a difference to be able to see properly again after four days with my old prescription! (My other pair snapped in two on Monday.)

Once on campus is was a day of teaching prep, email, meetings and (yet another) retirement celebration.

Exercise today: walk to work and home again (19,025 steps).
