Front Row

A visitor - the bold misterft was hailed from an upstairs window before we headed up town to the Traverse - well, there’s a new season of a Play, a Pie and a Pint to see. And who can refuse a free pie?
And it was an entertaining wee piece entitled “Breaking the Ice”. Who can’t laugh when a woman introduces herself as “Iona Gunn.” That’s playwriting for yer.
Then a birl round the shops including Anta where a cute little woollen throw found its way into the shopping bag. It’s getting chilly of an evening!
And finally to the Cameo to see this Beatles film - Eight Days A Week - The Touring Years. Delightful, so it is.
But then Jools - I was being eagle eyed as cousin Suze was in the audience (I didn’t see her). Same old Jools - his interviewing style hit the floor when talking with Tom Chaplin who was seriously upfront and open about his drug addiction problems. Still, you’re better now, declares Jools testily before breezily moving on to a pre-prepared clip of Keane on Later, years previously. Dork.
