Dursley Walking Festival

Today we nipped over to Dursley to share a bit of the Walking Festival that's currently under way. It's a lovely part of the world for walking, as long as you're up for a few steep roads and steeper muddy tracks. Up and down, that's this landscape.

Janet went off on a Sketching Walk, with her bag full of paper and pencils, while my mate Steve and I bimbled off to the Photography Walk. The light wasn't up to much today, which I don't think I can blame Dursley on, but the walk and the talk was interesting and well worth the effort. There was a wide cross section of camera technology in display, from cheap compact, through bridge cameras to dSLR, and as wide a technical understanding of them, so it was good to chat and listen in equal part.

Light being what it was, this shot across to Cam Peak probably looks best in mono. And I might have found a local camera club that's worth further investigation too... In the meantime, being guineapig. ;-)
