Campanula

(should have removed the dead one!)
Quite afternoon today. This morning I was taking the service at church and was glad it turned out quite short as the heating wasn't working. We've had problems for a while and the gas people always say it isn't anything serious and it will be okay - and it breaks down again.
One good thing today was we found the problem, a leak in a pipe near the boiler, but had to turn everything off to avoid further damage. It was pretty chilly but at least there was a bit of warmth from the sun and an electric heater. Due to holidays the congregation was small, which didn't help.
Mr Rat has been running the Pentland Skyline race - lots of hills. He's run the Long Classics series and been raising money to help build a primary school at a centre for the disabled in Ghana. They want to be able to provide education for able-bodied and disabled so as to reduce fear and discrimination. He's now on his way home so I must go and make some food shortly. (someone we know won the race and broke the record and his girlfriend, one of our club members, also won and award., not sure how Mr Rat did in his age category, 2nd or 3rd is usual).
