Riders Expressions

It was the Autumn Horse Trials at Weston Park over the weekend.  A much smaller event than in previous years as they weren't holding British Eventing's Under 18 championships.  It meant that the show jumping took place on Temple Field, in front of the main house and provided a great backdrop to the action (see extra).

I was trying to capture the expressions of riders which can, on occasion, provide some interesting images.  In the end I couldn't make up my mind so have provided a Triptych.  Some seemed to be really enjoying the riding; some were concentrating hard; while the odd rider really looked as though they would have preferred to be anywhere other than on a horse!
