A family gathering at Tatton Park gave the opportunity to view the deer rut at (fairly) close hand. These two young Red Deer were engaging in a spot of gentle jousting, but it will be a while before they can tackle some of the mature stags to be seen elsewhere in the park (see extras).
We had a good walk in the sunshine and caught up over coffee and flapjack. Some Autumn butterflies joined us: Red Admiral, Large White and Comma.
