Linton Falls Grassington

Wednesday 12th Oct 2016 (1509)

The weather looked promising in the morning. Our first stop was the bridge at Coniston, then a brief walk into Grass Wood before going to Grassington. Sue and I walked down to Linton Falls but as we had our lunch the weather changed rapidly and we were soon in the pouring rain. A retreat to the tea shop seemed the best option!

The sun came out again just before we went up to the lead mine but as we went up the hill we entered the cloud and rain. We sat in the car for twenty minutes hoping it would stop but eventually gave up. Sue and I spent some time by the bridge in Kettlewell and then finished the day in the walled garden at Scargill.
