Up early to get my washing done and on the line before going to parents to meet Ian the odd job man to measure up to fit new curtain tracks as the old ones have gone brittle with age. He also fixed the bathroom heater, and gave it a really good clean out too. I got Dad up and dressed and breakfasted as the carer hadn't arrived by 10.30. But then she made up for it by giving him a good shave downstairs so he did not need to go back upstairs. Apparently the carers are not supposed to do that in case they cut them, but permission was given, and he felt much better afterwards as he always misses bits when he does it himself. Home via the town to buy Mum some ear ring backs as she wants to wear them again but we could not find any backs. Positive that she wants to wear them, proof that the anti depressants are working as she now takes a bit of an interest in her appearance. I planted some bulbs in the garden, and did some shredding and a few more chores and phone calls. An early start again tomorrow beckons, with the long awaited stairlift due to be fitted at 8.00.
