Just call me a Leaf Peeper

We were sad to leave Vermont's gorgeous Green Mountains today and vowed to return next year and complete our covered bridge tour throughout the state. But as soon as we entered New Hampshire's White Mountain National Forest, we knew we were in for another treat. We were told the fall foliage here is at its peak this week and that is easy to believe. As we headed south on NH route 112 National Scenic Byway, we visited all the covered bridges along our route and then stopped at Beaver Pond where I took this picture. From there, we went to the Lost River Gorge and Boulder Caves. If you are ever in this area, you must take the time to hike through this unbelievably beautiful attraction. One picture cannot convey all that can be seen here so I intentionally did not use that part of our day for my blip. Check them out on line.
