Life through the lens...

By ValC

Feed the birds.

Our cotoneaster is just one mass of berries this year. I thought how lovely it looked in the golden Autumn sunlight.
Is that a sign of a hard winter to come?
I hope not, but there is certainly plenty of food for the birds.

A busy day in the garden planting the spring bulbs in pots.
I ordered some this year from a specialist bulb company, ( De Jäger) as last year some I got from the garden centre weren't too good.
However after three weeks they finally arrived yesterday when we were out, and so I had to go and collect them this morning from our local GPO.
Opened the box and found the tulips hadn't been delivered. " Out of stock. To follow."
I am not a happy bunny as they were to go in some mixed pots with Daffs. and crocus.
So I had to make a trip to the garden centre after all.

This has made me behind hand, and so the Christmas cakes will now have to wait until tomorrow.

After a misty morning it has been a glorious afternoon. Just right for gardening.

Now to make tea. Sea bass tonight with pommes de Terre Forestiere ( chunks of potato fried with onions and mushrooms)and
frozen peas.
Followed by gingerbread.

It will be interesting what is said on Strictly to night!

Hope you are all enjoying the weekend.
