Vedi Napoli, e poi muori

See Naples and die.

My wife taught English as a Foreign Language (EFL) for many years.

We have stayed friends with one of her students from this part of the world, for over 20 years and today he gave us a glimpse of Naples. His daughter, who I have Blipped before, and is now a second year architecture student joined us as we walked the packed streets of Naples.

The main picture is just off the spaccanapoli, a long, straight street which slices through this part of Naples.

What a fascinating place in which I could spend a lot more time, but only with someone who knows their way around.

I have included more alluring sights of the area.

A scooter rider, who could not have been more than 12 years old. The object in his mouth, is I think, a lollipop, not a cigarette, giving even more emphasis to his age.

A shopkeeper intent on her luminous, green phone.

A multicoloured scooter, grabbed in an instant without hordes of people walking past.
