The Way Home

When we stirred at  8 am, the morning was dull.

As Basil and I were walking home from church coffee morning, the sun had come out and I was struck by the hazy light pouring along this alley. The photo doesn't do it justice.

Even the gentle trot to the church was tiring. I adjourned to the conservatory to finish packing up cards. I took my sweater off as it felt warm but neglected to put it back on as the sun began to sink. So I got cold.

Fished out my Gothla hoodie from the cupboard, switched the thermostat up two degrees, and now I feel warm, but not necessarily fine.
