Toronto Scotiabank Waterfront Marathon

Fabulous experience at the waterstation for the marathon of 26,000 today. Unseasonably warm (it got up to 21 degrees!) but that brought rain. Such a fun and inspiring day. 14 of our friends came to assist and we wore tutus in support of the non-profit organization After Breast Cancer. We were at the 31 km mark of the 42.2 km race so saw some very tired runners. The elite runners were awe inspiring and all the others so motivating. We loved cheering them on and bringing smiles to their weary faces. Many ran in costume, i will blip those pix tomorrow as they are just to good to pass up. 2 Canadian men placed 5th & 6th and 1 ran with a stroller with a 4 yr old in it. 82 year old Ben set a world record! So many motivational stories today, so happy to be part of the cheering volunteers!
