The Elephant for Glasgow

Located beside The House for an Art Lover in Bellahouston Park. The work of sculptor Kenny Hunter.

The life size elephant is cast in part from scrap locomotives built in Glasgow and exported to the Commonwealth. Direct connections to many countries where trains were exported eg India, Pakistan and Kenya. A symbol of power. Cast in iron, weighing 12 tonnes.
