In Honor of "Boop-oop-a-doop”!

Upon leaving a meeting this afternoon I saw a small rose garden in a park across the street. This lovely rose is called 'Betty Boop'. This cartoon character was big in the 1930's, and I am familiar with the character although I didn't know much about her.

In researching Betty Boop, I learned the cartoon character was based on a real person. The backstory includes a 2-year lawsuit over who originated the singing style and appearance of Betty Boop (hint: the original singer was famous at The Cotton Club in Harlem).

The extra: Light on clouds and across the land at sunset.

Thanks too for your recent comments, stars and hearts!
