Gangtey Monastery

We have now driven over the Lawa La and are staying at Gangtey.  It is a special day in the monastery as they are celebrating a reincarnation and in an ornate ceremony offerings of food and money are being made into four fires positioned at each of the compass points.  It is a moving ceremony to watch without even fully understanding what is going on and well worth the very arduous, bumpy and somewhat dangerous road journey to get here.
