The Beauty and the Sadness

The dichotomy of a photograph, the beauty and the dark side of our river captured in a single frame.  On one hand a beautiful sunrise reflects of the water the bridge silhouetted, a sight that always lifts me but sadly and maybe unnoticed in the left of the frame the bouquets of flowers fastened to the railings where tragically a young def woman who had been missing earlier this year was found by police divers, this is a sinister side to how some people see our river.

There are so many faces of our river, so many people see her in so many different ways but to me she is always beautiful, always there a constant...
